# NeuroFrame — behavioural assessment through game-based simulation > NeuroFrame measures eight behavioural and cognitive parameters from decisions a person makes inside a 30–60 min strategy simulation, rather than from a self-report questionnaire. Scores are read against role requirements: 287 professions across 34 occupational areas, each profiled across 8 stages of the organisational lifecycle — 2,296 benchmark profiles in total. ## What it is A person plays a strategy simulation under rising load. The system records the decisions and their cost, and those traces become eight numbers on a 0–100 percentile scale. The scale answers "higher than what share of the comparison base", not "share of correct answers". A single number is never read as good or bad on its own: meaning comes from the requirement of a specific role at a specific stage of a company’s life. The same job title demands different things in a two-year-old company and in a forty-year-old institution. ## The eight parameters Cognition (3): Mental Efficiency, Learning Agility, Progress Monitoring. Personality (5): Openness to New, Risk Appetite, Result Focus, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness. ## Measured properties - Comparison sample: 14,850+ executives and entrepreneurs. People in real jobs across 21 industries, 21 functions and 8 grades — from junior specialists to heads of function. - Construct validity: CFI 0.96. It produces a fit score against a role requirement; the decision belongs to the employer. - It is not used for dismissal decisions, and that use falls outside what the method supports. - It makes no claim of zero bias and gives no guarantee of outcome. Matching a requirement raises probability and lowers risk; it does not promise a result. - It is not a clinical instrument. It produces no diagnosis, no health inference and no label attached to a person. - The ranges are a reference point, not a verdict: a gap on one or two parameters is something to explore at interview, not grounds for rejection. - Its own validity figures are first-party: obtained on NeuroFrame’s own sample against its own criteria, and not peer-reviewed. They are deliberately not placed on the same scale as meta-analytic coefficients obtained by other designs on other samples. ## What is not published, and why The following is deliberately not published, and the reason is methodological rather than commercial: - the weights of individual assessment features; - the model that turns observed behaviour into scores; - the internals of the machine-learning component; - the reference map of optimal play. Publishing them would turn an implicit behavioural measure into an explicit, coachable one and would invalidate the comparison base for everyone measured afterwards (AERA/APA/NCME Standards; ITC Guidelines on test security).
